Kilmeade to Throw, “Hold Onto,” First Pitch on Fox Fan Night

By SteveK

The Fox & Friends anchors will be on hand tonight for Fox Fan Night at Shea Stadium, and, like last year, one anchor will be in charge of throwing out the first pitch.

Last year was Steve Doocy, but this year Brian Kilmeade gets the call.

“As a lifelong Met fan, this is beyond a thrill,” Kilmeade tells TVNewser. “I will try to do the unthinkable for a soccer player — throw a strike from the rubber.”

Kilmeade, Doocy, Alisyn Camerota and Gretchen Carlson will be at the ballpark, holding a meet-and-greet before the game with fans in the picnic area.

Kilmeade says SNY anchor and former Mets pitcher Ron Darling has “committed to give me a quick pitching lesson,” but this morning on Fox & Friends, FOX News Sunday anchor Chris Wallace had different advice.

“Let Gretchen do it,” he said.

When Carlson described how difficult it was to “wrestle a ball away from Brian,” Kilmeade answered, “I hold onto my balls,” to laughter from the entire studio.
