NBC’s coverage of the 137th Kentucky Derby earned a 9.7 overnight rating and a 22 share Saturday night, down 6 percent from 2010.
Last year’s 10.4 rating was the highest overnight for NBC in 18 years.
The overall overnight rating for the entire three-hour broadcast was a 7.4, with a 17 share. According to NBC, the final ratings will be released Tuesday.
