Kelly Cobiella Named NBC News London Correspondent

KellyCobiellaKelly Cobiella is joining NBC News as a network correspondent based in London, TVNewser has learned.

Cobiella has been London-based foreign correspondent for both ABC News and CBS News since moving to London in 2011. Most recently, she’s been freelancing for CBS News, but before that was on staff for ABC News. Before the move to London, Cobiella was a CBS News correspondent based in several bureaus including New York, Dallas, and Miami.

Cobiella joined CBS Newspath in 2003 and CBS News a year later.

We are pleased to announce that Kelly Cobiella is joining NBC News as a network correspondent based in London. Kelly comes to us from CBS News, where she has been a freelance foreign correspondent since 2012. She previously worked with ABC News in London following a long career with CBS in New York, Dallas, and Miami.

Kelly is a seasoned and versatile reporter whose wide range of experience — both foreign and domestic — will make her a valuable asset to our international team. During her time in the UK, she has covered the British Royal Family, WikiLeaks and Julian Assange, the Oscar Pistorius trial, and countless breaking news events. Over the course of her career, Kelly has traveled the world covering stories from the Camp Bastion attack in Afghanistan to the Castro regime in Cuba to the revolution in Libya and much more. Her work has been recognized with both Emmy and DuPont awards.
