Keeping up with the Letourneau-Fualaaus

By Chris Ariens

Time flies when you’re having fun.

Mary Kay Letourneau and Vili Fualaau are about to celebrate 10 years of marriage. But the relationship began much earlier than that, when Letourneau was Seattle-area 6th grade teacher and Fualaau was her 13-year-old student.

In a “20/20” special airing Friday night, Letourneau tells Walters what makes their marriage work in spite of their age difference: She’s 53. He’s 31.

Walters will also introduce viewers to the couple’s teenage daughters, Audrey and Georgia, who are now older than Fualaau was when he conceived them. Walters first interviewed Letourneau in 2004 after she served 6 years in prison, where their second daughter was born.
