Katrina: Brian Williams Inside The Superdome; Transmits Photo Via Cell Phone

Brian Williams was wise to position himself at the LA Superdome. His cell phone reports from the became especially important as the situation began to deteriorate at 9am.

“We have a hole in the roof,” Williams told ‘Today’ viewers. His crew is busy videotaping the scene and gathering audio, but they cannot transmit the content until the winds die down. However, the crew did manage to transmit a photo of leaks in the roof via phone.

“As soon as we can get our dish up on the truck…people will start to get an inkling of the sound inside this arena,” BW said.

> “We’re going to do a number of special reports on the NBC network [and on MSNBC] during the day,” he added…

> “We’re wondering why NBC sent out their top guns, and ABC has them all at the desk,” a trusted e-mailer says…
