‘Kathie Lee Would Like to Apologize for What She Just Said, What She is Currently Saying and What She is About to Say’

By Alex Weprin

On the fourth hour of NBC’s “Today” this morning, co-host Kathie Lee Gifford announced that she would not be a customer of Qantas Airlines because of a movie being shown on flights that some people say is pornographic. She also advised viewers not to fly Qantas. The result was an amusing black ticker scrolling across the banner (which, by the way, had Qantas misspelled) saying:

“Kathie Lee Would Like to Apologize for What She Just Said, What She is Currently Saying and What She is About to Say”

“I am not apologizing! Take that off!” Gifford responded.
