Fox News was the #4 channel on basic cable in July, Multichannel News reports. It averaged a 1.7 for the month, and that prompted this e-mail from an industry insider:
“While CNN has nothing better to do than tout .3 and .4 repeats of Nancy Grace on HLN, Fox News is ranked in basic cable’s top five for July, tied for 4th place with entertainment giants Lifetime Television and Nick at Night,” the insider said.
