Judge Dismisses Andrea Tantaros Lawsuit Against Fox News

By Chris Ariens

U.S. District Court Judge George Daniels has dismissed a case filed by former Fox News anchor Andrea Tantaros against the network.

In her lawsuit, filed in August 2016, Tantaros accused top executives of punishing her for complaining about sexual harassment by former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes. Ailes was dismissed from Fox News in July, 2016 after another former Fox News anchor, Gretchen Carlson, sued him for sexual harassment. Ailes died one year ago today at his home in Florida.

Tantaros had alleged “rampant” sexual harassment at the network, and that electronic and physical surveillance was used on her after she lodged the complaints of sexual harassment against Ailes and other Fox News executives.

The defendants in the case, including Fox News Network, former Fox News executive Bill Shine, and current head of communications Irena Briganti, had moved to dismiss an amended complaint in the case. Judge Daniels agreed, and granted the dismissal today.
