Josh Earnest Has the Perfect Name for a White House Press Secretary

Josh Earnest has a new job, an office with a fireplace, and an upgraded parking spot. (On that last one, he knows he’ll really impress his dad). In exchange, he gets to deal with the White House press corps even more closely than he has been.

Earnest, who is wrapping up his second day as White House press secretary, chatted with Politico’s Mike Allen for the site’s series Open Mike. Will the president take more questions from reporters with Earnest as press secretary? “We’re going to be focused on making the President as accessible as possible, and putting him in an environment where he is able to best defend our priorities.” Here’s more:
