In the end, Univision and Fusion anchor Jorge Ramos never did get that interview with Donald Trump.
“The only other candidate that didn’t want to talk to us was Bob Dole in 1996, and lost,” Ramos told CNN. “Regardless of the results, I think Trump will be the last candidate who tries to win without the Latino vote.”
Ramos, who was escorted from a Trump news conference in August 2015, sent Trump a hand-written note asking for an interview and including his personal cell phone number, which Trump shared on social media.

In July, Ramos predicted that Trump could not win without Latinos. We’ll find out tonight.
