For “CBS Sunday Morning,” Mo Rocco asks Jon Stewart about being approached by NBC about the possibility of taking his act to the venerable “Meet the Press.”
“They didn’t offer me anything, it was just one of those, like, ‘What do you think about that?’ kind of conversations,” Stewart says.
Rocco: “And what did you say about that?”
Stewart: “I don’t think that’s a good idea.”
Rocco’s interview with Stewart airs this Sunday. As for the venerable “Sunday Morning,” the CBS News broadcast drew more than six million viewers last Sunday, its biggest audience since March and up +6% in viewers compared to the same Sunday last year. Season-to-date, the show is up +8% in the A25-54 demo and up +6% in viewers.
