One of Washington’s best-known TV news couples takes the stage Saturday night. And no, it won’t be for a political roundtable.
Fox News’s chief White House correspondent John Roberts and CNN’s Kyra Phillips will be performing walk-on roles in The Washington Ballet’s The Nutcracker on Saturday, Dec. 23 at 7 p.m. They will be performing the roles of the Ambassador and Merry Widow.
Roberts is excited for the performance, and also a bit nervous.
“I have always loved the Washington Ballet’s presentation of The Nutcracker. It’s done in a very D.C.-themed presentation,” he told TVNewser. “I’m looking forward to see how I look in a beard, but not looking forward to watching all the suitors at the party trying to woo the affections of my wife Kyra, who will play the Merry Widow!”
