John Edwards Trial Jurors Make The TV News Rounds, Stay On Message

Following the one “not guilty” verdict and the declaration of a mistrial for the remaining counts in the John Edwards trial yesterday, jurors from the case have begun making the rounds on TV news.

NBC’s “Today” had three of the jurors–including the jury foreman–on as an “exclusive” at 9:06 AM. They told Matt Lauer “The evidence wasn’t there.”

Meanwhile, ABC’s “Good Morning America” also had an interview with some of the jurors, although it was another group of three jurors and two alternates, appearing via satellite from North Carolina. It may have been a different group, but the refrain was the same, as they told George Stephanopoulos “The Evidence Just Wasn’t There.”
