Joe Scarborough’s Son Hospitalized After ‘Horrible Accident’

MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski opened Morning Joe Friday morning without her co-host Joe Scarborough, explaining he was with his 18-year-old son Andrew, who “had a horrible accident” Thursday night, falling down a flight of stairs, suffering serious head injuries including a fractured skull.

Andrew Scarborough was rushed to New York’s Bellevue Hospital. “Much of the team and I were there into the night … but they stabilized him. That trauma team is amazing,” Brzezinski said. “It’s touch and go, but we’re stabilized. It was a long night. We want to thank the folks at Bellevue. What an incredible place.”
