MSNBC host Joe Scarborough says a New York Times story about his relationship with Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio is “not fair…not accurate…and…not news. It is spin straight from Rubio’s camp.”
The story, published Sunday, describes Scarborough as “a snubbed morning show host” involved in an “unusual apat with Rubio”:
“While Mr. Rubio has boycotted the program, its hosts have derided him for everything from his fashion choices (‘shagalicious’) to his lack of legislative accomplishments … [A]fter Mr. Rubio’s debate performance on Saturday appeared to validate his critique, Mr. Scarborough took something of a victory lap.”

On Twitter Sunday, Scarborough detailed his objections to the story:
The story is not fair, it is not accurate, and it is not news. It is spin straight from Rubio's camp. https://t.co/y7kIKibSPc

For 6 months, Rubio's team has whined to reporters that I've been mean for saying he's robotic and not ready to be president. The Times bit.

The Times questioned my motives for saying for 6 months what the entire political world finally began to say last night after the debate.
