2018 is shaping up to be a very good year for the NBC Sports Group.

On Feb. 4, the network will carry Super Bowl LII in chilly Minneapolis. Four days later NBCU begins coverage of the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea. A few months later, Telemundo has the Spanish-language U.S. rights to the World Cup in Russia. Fox has the English-language rights.

SportsNewser has also learned that Jim Bell, the ep of NBC Olympics will also executive produce Telemundo’s coverage of the World Cup. It’s a return to Russia for the former Today show ep who also oversaw NBC’s coverage of the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.
