New NBC Nightly News ep Sam Singal has promoted Jennifer Suozzo to senior broadcast producer. Suozzo, who has been with NBC since 1999 beginning at WVIT in Hartford, Conn., has been with Nightly News since 2012, including working with anchor Lester Holt on the weekend broadcasts.
Suozzo held many producing roles at MSNBC, including as launch ep of Andrea Mitchell Reports. “Jenn has been an invaluable partner to me and I’m thrilled that she, along with the rest of the senior team, will help me lead the broadcast in what we know will be a very busy year ahead,” Singal writes.
