James Murdoch: Debate Gives Fox Business Chance ‘To Differentiate Itself’

By Mark Joyella

In an earnings call Wednesday, 21st Century Fox executive chairman Lachlan Murdoch said Fox News and related brands remain “in great demand.”

James Murdoch, the company’s chief executive, said next week’s Republican presidential debate offers one of their newest brands, Fox Business, to “differentiate itself” and said the debate comes as the business network is gaining momentum.

In October, FBN posted significant gains, having its most-watched Business Day ever–averaging 102,000 total viewers. The network was up +92 percent in total viewers and up +60 percent in the demo compared to October 2014.
