Jake Tapper’s SOTU Goes Commercial Free

By Chris Ariens

CNN’s Jake Tapper has taken his show on the road, hosting State of the Union live from New Hampshire tomorrow morning. And for the first time, the show will be commercial free.

“Just two days before the all-important New Hampshire primary we will have 5 presidential candidates,” Tapper tells TVNewser. Booked for the show: Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Chris Christie, John Kasich and Donald Trump.

“With so much on the line and so much to talk about, we’re going to be commercial free,” Tapper says. “No ads, just raw politics.”

While the CNN ad sales team might not be happy with an ad-free hour–which can be up to 22 minutes in an hour–it’s a cable news host’s dream come true.
