It’s not a Peabody, or even an Emmy, but CNN’s Jake Tapper now has two more awards for his trophy case. He won them both, on two difference shows, last night. On her TBS show Full Frontal Samantha Bee presented Tapper with the first-ever Thunder Cunt award, “for making cable news bearable.” Tapper got a t-shirt and a few second to say thank you.
“This is great, although I can’t show it to my children,” he said, adding, “I really appreciate it. I will never, ever wear it.”
Later, on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, Trevor Noah presented Tapper with the Crapcatcher Award, for detecting “the semantic BS” of Trump senior adviser Kellyanne Conway. ABC’s George Stephanopoulos also got a Crapcatcher Award for his interview with VP-elect Mike Pence on Sunday.
