Jake Tapper Becomes Senior National Correspondent For ABC News

ABC News rising star Jake Tapper has been named senior national correspondent, and “during the 2006 and 2008 elections,” he “will also serve as ABC News Senior Political Correspondent.”

He joined ABC in July 2003. “He brings a fresh approach to everything he covers from domestic politics to the war in Iraq to faith and values. Jake’s range, his unique voice and his ability to break stories make him an invaluable member of the ABC News team,” David Westin said in a press release today.
