Brian Williams: “Moments from now we are going to hear the result of months of work from the Iraq Study Group… This group, making recommendations on the way forward as they call it, in the conflict in Iraq.” (Williams did not call it a “civil war.”)

Charles Gibson: “We take air because we are about to get our first look at the report from the Iraq Study Group, which for the past nine months has been charged with coming up with recommendations for a new way forward, and that essentially is the title of the report, ‘a way forward in Iraq.'”
