Insiders Put Megyn Kelly in Mix to Moderate Presidential Debate

Would Donald Trump agree to a presidential debate with Hillary Clinton moderated by Megyn Kelly?

According to a survey of “media execs, top on-air talent and producers” conducted by Politico, Kelly is one of the people most likely to be chosen to moderate three upcoming presidential and one vice-presidential debate. The other top names are ABC’s Martha Raddatz, Fox News’ Chris Wallace, PBS’ Gwen Ifill, CBS’ John Dickerson, NBC’s Chuck Todd and Lester Holt, and CNN’s Jake Tapper and Anderson Cooper.

Trump on Tuesday committed to debating Hillary Clinton, but said he would demand “fair moderators.”

Trump clashed with Kelly in the first Republican primary debate on Fox, when he objected to her question about his record of using degrading language to describe women. He later called for a boycott of Kelly’s Fox News Channel show, and refused to participate in the next FNC debate.

At the time, Fox News released a statement: “Sooner or later Donald Trump, even if he’s president, is going to have to learn that he doesn’t get to pick the journalists—we’re very surprised he’s willing to show that much fear about being questioned by Megyn Kelly.”
