Dr. Rick Knabb is leaving the National Hurricane Center and returning to The Weather Channel as the network’s on-air hurricane expert and tropical program manager. Dr. Knabb joins TWC in May after 5 years as Director of the National Hurricane Center in Miami.
“We recognize the importance of investing in world class expertise that can be found nowhere else,” said Weather Channel president David Clark. “We couldn’t be more proud to welcome Dr. Knabb back to the network and of the value he adds to our incredible team.”
Dr. Knabb was with Weather Channel from 2010-2012 when he left to become the 11th Director of the NHC.
