> 7:30pm: An e-mailer dreams: “MSNBC should use this to get rid of Imus and have a real morning news program on there, with fresh faces and hard news, instead of having radio on TV. Time for them to move into the 21st century…” Update: 7:44pm: “With NBC U 2.0 in full effect, I say ‘keep dreaming’ to anyone who expects anything other than rolling dayside coverage in place of Imus,” another e-mailer responds…

> 7:29pm: An e-mailer asks: “He said these comments on Wednesday, April 4. It is now Monday, April 9. In this new age of media, why did it take so long for this to become such an issue?…”

> 6:59pm: “CNN must be happy. Imus is suspended the day the tweaked American Morning launches,” an e-mailer says…

> 6:46pm: First e-mailer reaction: “TWO WEEKS? That’s a freaking joke!…”

> 6:45pm: MSNBC ran a breaking news crawl with the suspension news…
