CNN to Debut Declassified, Resume The Hunt in June

CNN is turning to the world of espionage for a new prime time original docuseries. Declassified: Untold Stories of American Spies is an eight-part series which debuts on Sunday, June 19, at 10 p.m. ET/PT after the season three premiere of The Hunt with John Walsh.

Hosted by former U.S. Congressman Mike Rogers (R-Mich), also the former chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, the series looks at covert missions set in diverse locations and time periods from Cold War era Russia to present day Iran, from the streets of 1980s Havana to Beijing in 2016. Each episode focuses on a recently declassified mission told first-hand by the agents who were involved. All 16 intelligence agencies from the CIA to the FBI are involved, sharing the stories of America’s covert operations here and abroad.

The hour-long series is produced by All3Media America with Gregory J. Lipstone, Domini Hofmann, Aaron SaidmanStephen Lambert and Mike Rogers serving as executive producers.

Declassified joins The Hunt with John WalshAnthony Bourdain Parts Unknown, United Shades of America, The Eighties, The Wonder List with Bill Weir, Morgan Spurlock Inside Man, This is Life with Lisa Ling, Death Row Stories, and Finding Jesus in the CNN Original Series lineup. New CNN Original Series to premiere in 2017 include Soundtracks: Songs That Made History, The History of Comedy, and The Nineties.
