Hurricane Dennis: MSNBC’s “ESP” Radar

MSNBC is taking advantage of its NBC Weather Plus relationship: Several times this afternoon, meteorologist Sean McLaughlin has tossed to Weather Central’s Bill Boss, who is using software called “Exclusive Storm Prediction: Live (“ESP: Live” for short) to do a “CAT Scan of the storm.” The team correctly predicted a 3:25pm landfall of Dennis. “Hopefully MSNBC continues to use this product for future hurricanes should more come ashore in the US this summer,” an e-mailer says.

“Boss was also able to isolate in 3D perspective the parts of the hurricane that are the strongest,” ICN notes. Check out more screen grabs of the software after the jump…
