HLN’s The New Dr. Drew, as the show is now called, will examine the social and medical issues facing the transgender community in a 2-night special. Transgender in America, debuting tonight and continuing tomorrow night at 9 p.m. ET, will include a live audience of transgender advocates and notable voices.
“We quickly realized that the conversation shouldn’t end with Caitlyn’s [Jenner’s] news. It needed to continue,” The New Dr. Drew ep Burt Dubrow told TVNewser. “Our hope is that Drew’s two-night special focusing on issues facing the transgender community will keep the discussion and education going.”
