Sunday, March 18 was an important day for HLN prime time.
The network brought back a new season of its acclaimed original series Death Row Stories on March 18 at 8 p.m., and aired the series premiere of Unmasking a Killer in the 9 p.m. hour.
Death Row posted 185,000 viewers from the key A25-54 demo. That’s +12 percent more than Fox News’s demo delivery in the hour, and +3 percent more than what MSNBC delivered in the hour. Fox News aired a special roundtable discussion program named The Wise Guys, and MSNBC aired the second hour of Kasie DC.
The series premiere of Unmasking A Killer also delivered solid ratings in the 9 p.m. hour despite having to go up against The Kennedys, the new original series on sister network CNN that has delivered solid ratings to-date. Killer delivered 148,000 demo viewers, which is +38 percent more than MSNBC’s demo delivery in the hour. MSNBC aired Dateline Extra in that slot.
