When last we saw James Gandolfini, the character he played for more than seven years left the screen in an instant. Now Gandolfini is back in an upcoming HBO documentary. Today Gandolfini sat down with NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams along with wounded Iraq war vets Pvt. Dexter Pitts, Lt. Dawn Halfaker, Spc. Crystal Davis, and Staff Sgt. John Jones.
In the HBO documentary “Alive Day Memories: Home From Iraq” Gandolfini interviews ten Soldiers and Marines who talk about the emotional cost of the war through memories of their “alive day,” the day they narrowly escaped death in Iraq. Gandolfini is also the executive producer of the project.
Williams’ interview airs tomorrow morning on Today and also on NBC Nightly News.
