Here Come the Princess Diana TV News Specials

By Chris Ariens

Networks are beginning to prepare TV news specials about Princess Diana as the 20th anniversary of her death approaches.

Gayle King will host a 2-hour CBS prime time special in May called Princess Diana: Her Life – Her Death – The Truth. CBS says the special “will put to rest the many questions that still surround the crash that killed her.”

Princess Diana died on August 31, 1997 in a car crash, while being chased by paparazzi, in Paris.

The Susan Zirinsky production will take viewers through that night and the four independent investigations in two separate countries that followed. The special will also look at Diana’s legacy, her sons William and Harry.

Princess Diana: Her Life – Her Death – The Truth airs May 22 on CBS.
