Henry Schleiff Out At Court TV

Multichannel News:Henry Schleiff is losing his position as CEO of Court TV, insiders at the network confirmed after Schleiff broke the news to senior staffers Wednesday.” He “will remain as chairman after Time Warner Inc. takes over full ownership of Court TV, buying out 50% owner Liberty Media Corp. Insiders said they expect the transaction to be completed early next week.”

> TV Week: “Court TV is likely to become part of Time Warner’s Turner Broadcasting. Cost-cutting is expected, and some functions now handled by Court TV will be folded into Turner’s operations.”

> Broadcasting & Cable: “Schleiff plans to exit the company in part because he doesn’t see any slot in Time Warner’s Turner Broadcasting unit.”

> Hollywood Reporter: “Still to be determined is whether the rest of Schleiff’s management team at Court TV will stay on once Liberty is out of the picture. Top execs who might be updating their resumes include Art Bell, president and chief operating officer; Marc Juris, general manager, and Charlie Collier, executive vp and general manager of advertising sales.”
