Heather Nauert is leaving Fox News and will join the Trump administration as State Dept. spokesperson, Bloomberg reports. Though we hear it’s not a done deal as vetting is still ongoing.
Nauert, 47, has had two stints at Fox News, and, in between from 2005-2007, was an ABC News correspondent. In 2009 she briefly added anchoring at Fox-owned New York station WNYW. Most recently she’s been co-anchor of Fox & Friends First and news anchor for Fox & Friends.
Nauert was last seen on Fox News Feb. 27. Heather Childers has been filling in.
Fox News recently signed former State Department spokesperson Marie Harf as a contributor.
