Has The Colbert Report Already Reached “Its Natural Breaking Point?”

The Hollywood Reporter loves The Colbert Report:

“Colbert the actor plays Colbert the character drier than the Mojave Desert without the merest wink to the camera.”

But USA Today does not:

“Unfortunately, in just two weeks on the air, this half-hour spoof of a no-spin-zone type show has already stretched Colbert’s character and the artifice that supports it past its natural breaking point.”
