We are pleased to announce that Hallie Jackson has joined NBC News as a network correspondent. Hallie comes to us from Hearst Television, where she has been a national correspondent based in Washington, DC since 2012.  She will begin reporting from our Los Angeles bureau later this month, but expect to see her rotate through other regions across the country before settling down in a permanent home.

Hallie is sure to be a dynamic addition to our team. Not only is she a talented on-air reporter who is well versed in the biggest national issues facing this country, but she also has valuable experience working in digitally-integrated environments, and has an instinct for engaging audiences on all platforms.

As a member of the Hearst Television morning news team, Hallie provided daily coverage of political and national events for their twenty-six affiliates across the country.  Before moving to Washington, she worked for WFSB in Hartford, CT, where she anchored the weekend evening newscast and reported longer-form special projects from 2008-2012.  Prior to that, she was a general assignment reporter for Maryland’s WBOC.

Hallie, a native of Yardley, PA, graduated from The Johns Hopkins University with a bachelor’s degree in political science.  She is currently working toward a master’s degree in Government.

Hallie will be making the rounds in 30 Rock this week, so please introduce yourself and join me in welcoming her to NBC News.
