Gawker noticed one of those classic anchor moments, when a talent’s joyful ad-lib precedes a story of death and destruction. Fox & Friends co-anchor Gretchen Carlson, two days removed from her vacation, was reading the top stories of the hour. She began with a proclamation that today is the first day of spring, and lets loose a “Yoo hoo!”
Unfortunately, the story she was reading, and the video playing, wasn’t so “Yoo hoo”-worthy. (Note to self: pre-read scripts.)
Click continued to see the extremely awkward transition.
