Greta Van Susteren’s two part interview with Todd Palin, the first since his wife was named the VP nominee, garnered big ratings for FNC.

The 10pmET program had a two-day average of 665,000 viewers in the demo and 2,712,000 in Total Viewers. Yesterday’s broadcast was the 2nd highest in the demo in all of cable news (behind The O’Reilly Factor and edging its lead-in of Hannity & Colmes).

Tonight, Sean Hannity sits down for his own two-parter with Gov. Sarah Palin for her first cable news interview since the Veep pick.

Some excerpts: Discussing politics and the economy — “Well, there is a danger in allowing some obsessive partisanship to get into the issue that we’re talking about today.”

And — “First and foremost, taxpayers cannot be looked to as the bailout, as the solution to the problems on Wall Street.”

Also, Jossip reports Hannity asked her about Tina Fey’s SNL impression, which Palin calls “hilarious.”
