Greta Van Susteren Responds to Criticism From Jimmy Kimmel, Meghan McCain

Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren is responding to criticism from Jimmy Kimmel and Meghan McCain over her role in ousting comedian Louis C.K. from the Radio & Television Correspondents’ Association dinner in June.

“I’m trying to get over being mad at Greta Van Susteren,” Kimmel, who is headlining tomorrow night’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner, told Politico. “How dare she? With the people that that she interviews, she would boycott Louis C.K.?”

Meghan McCain also added her thoughts via Twitter. “Greta Van Susteren is bringing Lindsay Lohan to the WHC Dinner but has a moral offense to Louie C.K.?” the MSNBC contributor wrote yesterday.

“I read what Meghan McCain and Jimmy Kimmel said,” Van Susteren told our sister site, FishbowlDC. “I wasn’t bothered by it because I am sure they don’t know what Louis C.K. really said. No one (including McCain and Kimmel) — other than apparently Louis C.K. — would pick on a disabled child who can’t fight back. Here’s a sample of what he said about Trig: ‘Palin had a retard making c***.’ This is way past edgy.”
