Greta Van Susteren: ‘Each of These Women Has Now Shot Herself in the Foot’

By Mark Joyella

“This has gotten way out of hand,” Greta Van Susteren said in an “Off the Record” commentary Wednesday night. Focusing on the arrest of Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, Van Susteren suggested an apology–not a criminal case–should have been all that was required.

Grabbing someone, Van Susteren said, is “not so nice, but is this a crime?”

Wednesday 16 women in the media, including Blaze TV’s Dana Loesch, Fox News contributor Meghan McCain and CNN political analysts Mary Katharine Ham and S.E. Cupp signed a letter demanding Trump fire Lewandowski. “Lewandowski hasn’t even had a trial and they’re calling for his head,” Van Susteren said. “Yes, they’ve tried and convicted him.”

Each of these women has now shot herself in the foot. How can any one of them continue to cover the presidential race by not waiting for the D.A.’s decision to try the case or not, or wait for a jury verdict, but instead coming out swinging–taking sides in such a public way.
