At last night’s People’s Choice Awards Good Morning America was named Favorite Daytime TV Hosting team, though viewers at home wouldn’t have seen it, since the award wasn’t broadcast during CBS’s coverage of the 2017 event.
“When we woke up, we found out we were chosen as your favorite daytime hosting team at last night’s people’s choice awards,” said Michael Strahan this morning on the show. “The reason this is such a nice award is because it’s chosen by you, the public, and so we say thank you, guys, so much,” added Lara Spencer.
“You have a lot of choices in the morning, we know that,” said Robin Roberts. “Oftentimes you reach for this first (motioning to smartphone) before you reach for anything else. But to invite us wherever you are, whether it’s your home, your office, it really means a lot to us.”
