Good Morning America Sit-Down With Roy Moore Accuser Was Not ‘An Exclusive’

By A.J. Katz

Ah yes, the word “exclusive” is being thrown around again.

Good Morning America claimed to have an ABC News exclusive on-camera interview with Beverly Young Nelson, one of Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore‘s accusersTom Llamas sat down with Nelson in Alabama for an interview that aired this morning on GMA.

“It sickens me to wonder what may go on with him if he gets into office,” she told Llamas. “Maybe, you know, he could be doing this still. We don’t know. And then again I hope that he’s changed. I pray that he’s changed. I really do.”

But this sit-down is not truly an “exclusive.” Megyn Kelly sat down with Nelson on November 30th, who was joined by her sister Tammy and her attorney Gloria Allred. During that appearance on Megyn Kelly Today, Nelson describes what she says happened when Moore offered her a ride home from her job when she was 16, and says she’ll be “scared” if he wins the election.

Nelson has said Moore groped her 40 years ago when she was a 16-year-old waitress and he was in his early 30s. The candidate continues to deny all the allegations. The Alabama senate special election takes place on Tuesday.
