gma logo“Good Morning America” has promoted two longtime ABC Newsers to senior positions. Angela Ellis has been named Senior Broadcast Producer for the 7am hour while Christine Brouwer joins the senior team producing for both hours and leading special projects.

Ellis joined “GMA” in 2010, but her career started at ABC in 1997 as a DA for “Weekend World News with Carole Simpson.” “It’s been a pleasure working with Angela so far during my new tour of duty here and experiencing her combination of sharp news judgment, creativity and off-the-wall humor,” writes Michael Corn in a note to staff obtained by TVNewser.

Brouwer joined ABC News eight years ago in the London bureau. An Amsterdam native, she has been most recently producing weekend “World News Tonight” broadcasts with Cecilia Vega and Tom Llamas.
