GMA EP Sherwood Thanks Perkins For “Seven Successful, Memorable Years”

By now, you’ve seen Tony’s email and heard his news.

On behalf of everyone at GMA, I want to thank Tony for seven successful, memorable years at ABC News and congratulate him on this exciting new step in his career.

We’ve asked Tony to stay with GMA through the end of November so that he can participate in our 30th Anniversary celebrations. He has generously agreed.

When he signs off of GMA on December 2nd, Tony will have been part of the ABC News family for more than 1,750 broadcasts, 3,500 hours of morning television and countless tornadoes, hurricanes and blizzards.

There will be time and opportunity in the coming days and weeks to recognize and fete Tony for his many contributions to GMA’s success.

For now, please join me in wishing Tony, Rhonda and Connor great happiness and all good luck in this new chapter.
