Global Moment of Silence for Ft. Hood Victims

By Chris Ariens

Just as the shooting rampage in Orlando was coming to an end, with the arrest of the suspect, the cable news channels turned their attention back to Texas. At 2:34pmET there was a worldwide moment of silence to honor the 13 people killed and more than 30 wounded in yesterday’s massacre at Ft. Hood. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates declared the moment of silence, planned for 24 hours after the shooting and asked U.S. military forces around the world to take part.
