In an interview with Alec Baldwin on WNYC’s “Here’s the Thing,” ABC’s George Stephanopoulos said he was surprised that Brian Williams‘ questionable story about being aboard a helicopter brought down by an RPG ended up not just on late night shows, but NBC’s flagship “Nightly News,” where it became a career-threatening problem. “You know, we all are surrounded by big teams. And that was a little bit surprising.”
