On CBS This Morning, Gayle King said her best friend and soon-to-be CBS 60 Minutes contributor Oprah Winfrey was joking when she said during an interview that she might run for president in 2020.
That interview, with David Rubenstein, was taped in December, but was posted yesterday, and quickly tore through the internet.
“I was in the audience that day and it was clearly a joke,” said King this morning, adding, “I also heard on the Oprah Winfrey show over the years you always have the right to change your mind. But I would bet my first, second born and any unborn children to come, that ain’t never happening.”

“Never?” asked Anthony Mason.
“Nevah, N-E-V-A-H, Nevah,” King added.
