Gasparino: “When You Do Live TV, Sparks Fly”

By SteveK

Broadcasting & Cable’s Marisa Guthrie writes a profile today of CNBC’s Charlie Gasparino. Gasparino has been quiet lately after some recent outburts (vacation will do that).

He talked with Guthrie about one of those “verbal scuffles,” with CNBC media and technology editor Dennis Kneale, a couple weeks ago.

“When you do live TV, sparks fly. That’s what’s good about it. It’s impromptu and we’re both big enough boys to forget about it when it happens,” he said.

Gasparino also said he was recently hired by HarperCollins to write his third book, “The Sellout,” about the collapse of Bear Stearns. “They want me to do it tomorrow but Ive got a day job, so I’m going to do it in a year,” he said.
