Game 4 Of ALCS Is Second Most Watched MLB Postseason Game Ever On Cable TV

Last night’s Game 4 of the American League Championship Series on TBS was the second most watched MLB postseason game ever on cable television, drawing 9.9 million viewers.

Rangers-Yankees delivered a 6.3 rating and trails only the 2008 ALCS Game 7 matchup between Boston and Tampa Bay (7.9/13.4 million viewers).

Locally, Game 4 delivered a 17.1 rating in the New York market and a 26.5 rating in the Dallas Fort-Worth market.

Through four games, the 2010 LCS on TBS is averaging a 5.0 rating and more than 8 million total viewers, up 46 percent and 44 percent respectively from last year’s Dodgers-Phillies series.
