From the Upper West to Times Square, Morning Joe Rocked Manhattan Last Night

By A.J. Katz

Joe Scarborough‘s love for music is widely known, and his band, aptly named Morning Joe Music, can regularly be seen rockin’ out on Thursday evenings at the New York bar Prohibition. But Joe’s audience extended beyond the Upper West Side watering hole last night, and if you somehow found yourself stumbling through Times Square in the late hours of the evening, you may have seen Morning Joe Music’s concert live on the Nasdaq tower (43rd and Broadway).

The concert was hosted by Symposium Stockholm and Spotify, and they collaborated with Nasdaq to broadcast the show on the tower.

The performance also live streamed on the Nasdaq Facebook page.

TV newsers in attendance included Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski, Arianna Huffington, frequent Morning Joe panelist and ep of Showtime’s The Circus Jon Heilemann, 60 Minutes executive producer Jeff Fager, and Morning Joe correspondent Louis Burgdorf.

This morning’s panel, which included co-host Willie Geist, and Morning Joe regulars Mike Barnicle and Mark Halperin, took a few minutes out of their busy program to discuss the night’s festivities. Joe and Mika also gave a shout out to Nasdaq, Sony, Symposium Stockholm and Spotify towards the end of the segment.
