Friday's NCAA Ratings Up 17 Percent From 2010

Friday’s coverage of the NCAA Tournament regional semi-finals on TBS and CBS delivered an overnight household rating/share of 7.6/14, up 14 percent from a 6.5/12 from last year’s CBS Sports coverage, according to Nielsen. It’s the highest rating for a Friday regional semi-finals in the metered markets since a 7.8/14 in 2005.

While the first telecast window of games only combined to earn a 5.9/11, the second window delivered a 9.2/16, up 30 percent from a 7.1/13 last year.

The overall tournament average-to-date in the metered markets is a 6.6/14, up 18 percent from a 5.6/12 for CBS Sports’ 2010 coverage according to Nielsen.
